</ul>
<p>Everyone enjoyed the Bush Tucker morning tea and lunch where the menu included crocodile, kangaroo and emu salad wraps; scones with rosella jam and wattle seed cream; lemon myrtle cheesecake and rainforest punch.</p>
<p>Everyone had a fantastic day which ended with the creation of a Reconciliation Path where students wrote a message to Indigenous people affected by the policies and acts of removing children.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Students at the Cooranbong Campus of Avondale College experienced some Koori Culture on Wednesday 8th April 2009.  </p>
<p>Local Newcastle didjeridu player and PhD student, Mick &#8216;Didge&#8217; Davison demonstrated and discussed the playing of the didjeridu.</p>
<p>Marilyn Wilson and Stephanie Callaghan presented students and staff with information about Aboriginal history since colonisation; the diversity of Indigenous culture; contemporary issues and experiences from their personal perspective.</p>
<p>Students had an opportunity at lunch to to taste some vegetarian bush tucker with foods incorporating bush tucker ingredients including:<br />
- warrigul greens, sweet potato and fetta quiche<br />
- lemon myrtle tartlets<br />
- rainforest punch.</p>
<p>Feedback from staff and students about the presentation and food was extremely positive.</p>
