Principles
The term Indigenous is used in reference to Australian Indigenous peoples, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, or as we call ourselves Koori, Goori, Murri. Nyoongar, Yolgnu, Nunga, Wongi, Yamatji and Anangu.

Buudja Marrung Indigenous Cultural Education provides a generalised, world view and Koori perspective of the life and lifestyle of Australian Aboriginal people prior to and following European colonisation as well as factual information of Australia’s Aboriginal history.

Information we use is supported by historical facts and various media including documentaries; reports; studies, thesis; books; teaching aids government documents along with presenter’s personal experiences.

Our information is therefore deemed suitable for public knowledge and experience.

It must be noted that we respect and honour the lore our Traditional Culture and acknowledge that certain information and practices are reserved for specific members of our community, that is, our elders, the initiated, men or women.

Specific details regarding the local people and their nation, lore, law and practices, should only be provided by the local Aboriginal peoples. We endeavour to employ local Aboriginal people to deliver our programs.
